Job Description

The Bellperson plays an important role in creating a welcoming first impression for Sun Valley Lodge guests. This guest-facing position provides luggage assistance, delivers requested items, and supports overall guest services while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. This is a seasonal position for Fall/Winter 2026. To be considered, you must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Upon arrival, greet and assist guests by helping unload luggage from a vehicle and transporting it to their room, personally carrying the bags, or using a luggage cart Upon departure, assist guests by transporting luggage from the room to the lobby and helping them load bags into the vehicle Respond to guest needs by promptly delivering laundry, newspapers, iron & ironing board, additional linens, etc. Maintain written log, recording these requests and deliveries Respond to inquiries and promote the hotel's services, in person and on the telephone, by explaining products/services Provide the guest with up-to-date hotel information to enhance customer relations Keep abreast of local activities and establishments to answer questions and give recommendations or directions Assist other employees and departments in contributing to the best overall performance of the department and hotel Comply with the hotel conduct policy and always maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor Maintain the appearance of lobby areas, courtyard, and entrances to present customers with a clean and attractive facility
Qualifications:
Valid U.S. driver's license required Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred Familiarity with Sun Valley Resort and surrounding area or willingness to learn Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Flexibility to work varying a schedule, including weekends, holidays, and early or late shifts Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds push/pull luggage carts up to 200 pounds
