Overview Olde Sycamore Golf Club - Maximizing our Guests' Experience with Every Interaction Olde Sycamore Golf Club is a true golfing pleasure, nestled within a mature forest of hardwoods just minutes from I-485. This semi-private course opened in May 1997 and was recognized by Charlotte's Best Magazine as both the "Best New Course" and "Best Eastside Course" in the Queen City. Designed by Carolina Hall of Fame architect Tom Jackson , renowned for creating many high-profile courses throughout the Carolinas, Olde Sycamore is thoughtfully routed through majestic Carolina tall pines—an ideal and unforgettable backdrop for the game. The fairways feature hybrid Bermuda grass, while the brand-new Mach 1 Bermudagrass greens rank among the best in the Charlotte region. A distinctive feature of Olde Sycamore is the use of zoysia grass around the bunkers, providing sharper definition and enhanced playability around each green. Outside Services Attendant:
Duties & Responsibilities - Outside Services Attendants play a critical role in delivering the first and last impressions of the Olde Sycamore experience. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy interacting with people, and understand that great service is created through attention to detail and initiative. Individuals must be team players prepared to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment, think on their feet, and consistently deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with our Break PAR service philosophy . The primary responsibilities of the Outside Operations team include providing outstanding guest service throughout the property; operating the bag drop area; washing and staging golf cars; cleaning guests' clubs at the conclusion of play; assisting with practice facility duties; maintaining outside service areas; and supporting tournament and event operations. Each responsibility is performed with the goal of ensuring guests feel welcomed, cared for, and eager to return. All successful candidates will work in a positive team environment and gain valuable experience at a high-volume, semi-private golf facility. Experience Required Part-Time position(s) available. Prior experience in golf operations helpful. Golfing and/or caddie background is a plus. Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays. Must be at least 16 years old and have a valid driver's license. Position requires significant walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Position is open year-round (weather dependent). Essential Responsibilities Smile and greet golfers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner upon arrival. Anticipate guest needs and offer assistance before being asked. Provide information on club policies, procedures, daily rules, and upcoming events. Retrieve golf bags from guests' vehicles and load bags onto golf cars with care. Ensure golf cars are clean, charged, and properly supplied with scorecards, pencils, tees, and towels. Perform practice facility duties, including range setup, ball collection, and tournament shotgun preparation. Maintain the golf car staging and wash areas in a clean, organized, and professional condition. Clean all clubs thoroughly and return them neatly with headcovers properly replaced. Ensure guests retrieve all personal belongings before departing. Communicate problems promptly to the Professional Staff to ensure a timely resolution. Willingly perform other duties as assigned.
