Job Description
Overview Overview The Outside Operations position will be working on a team who is in charge of the Bag Room, Carts and Driving Range Services. The candidates chosen for the golf operation will be exposed to comprehensive education and training in all facets of golf facility management. We want people who want to learn, be heavily involved and whose career aspirations are to earn a higher position at Old Westbury Golf & Country Club or at another location. Those candidates that do a great job, will have a potential opportunity to join Old Westbury in a full-time capacity. We also will provide assistance to find employment elsewhere if there is not a position at Old Westbury. Experience Required Preferred Experience Experience working at various high-end private clubs golf organizations or a student of a PGM Program Maintain a professional appearance on and off property. Outside Operations experience at a public or private golf course Essential Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities Assist the Outside Service Managers with daily duties and responsibilities. Deliver an unparalleled member and guest experience with a primary focus on excellence, service and hospitality. Utilize the clubs' technologies to provide the best golf experience at Old Westbury Tend to members and guests needs for Golf Bags, Golf Carts, & the Range. Maintain the cleanliness and presentations of the outside facilities: •Range, Bag Room, Short Game Area, Golf Carts Cultivate and maintain an effective working relationship with the entire Golf Operation Team and Club Management. Club repair (regripping mainly) Ranger the golf course during busy weekends and during tournament play. Attendance at all staff meetings. Answering phones ready to answer questions on all club activities, services, tournaments and clinics. Benefits Benefits Hourly wages at $17.00 per hour (40-50 hrs./week). Overtime pay after 40 hrs. Additional income from, caddying and club repair/regripping Meals included. Practice and playing privileges. Staff clothing.
