Position:
The Bell Person is responsible for all transportation of guests. This mainly includes transporting guests and flight personnel to and from the airport, along with accommodating special travel requests as time allows. This role requires a high level of professionalism, as you will be interacting with people during the entire shift, as well as loading and unloading luggage and passengers from the hotel shuttle van. The Bell Person works to ensure a smooth operation and continuity of guest services pertaining to transportation, while ensuring a safe and secure environment during transport. Key Responsibilities:
Welcoming Guests:
Greet incoming guests in a warm, welcoming manner. Assist guests with luggage, as necessary. Be able to deliver information on available servicesand facilities of the hotel, points of interest and local entertainment. Greet guests at pick-up location at the airport and assist them in loading luggage. Upon arrival at the hotel, assist by opening doors and unloading luggage.
Guest Services:
Ensure lobby area is always clean and well presented. Handle guest requests by delivering amenities to rooms as requested. Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and resolve issues to maintain positive guest relations.
Operational Duties:
Monitor and maintainshuttle vans by washing, cleaning, and re-fueling. This also includes reporting all maintenance issues. Completes checklist of duties in accordance with manager request. May be asked to run hotel errands as time allows. Learn how to navigate around FlightAwarewebsiteand the airport website to ensure accuracy when tracking flight times and ensuring that you are arriving at the airport on time for pick-up and/or drop-off.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Previous experiencewith transporting of passengers is a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a team dynamic at the hotel. Flexibility to workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 35+pounds occasionally. Dexterity whenoperatingmotor vehicle safely while following rules of the road. This position consists of 10-hour shifts.
Performance Standards:
Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform. High levels of guest satisfaction and positive feedback. Adherence to hotel policies and procedures. Effective collaboration with other hotel departments. The Bell Person plays a crucial role in the successful operation of the hotel, ensuring safe transportation of guests, and general upkeep of public areas.
