Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Food Service Worker/Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment for customers. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food, operating POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha and Micros, and providing exceptional customer service. Your multitasking skills will ensure smooth food handling, cashiering, and maintaining sanitation standards in a fast-paced food service or retail setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary and sales skills while delivering memorable experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate POS systems including Aloha and Micros to process transactions accurately, handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision. Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling products to enhance sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep areas, dining spaces, and cashier stations in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist with food handling duties such as bussing tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring a clean environment for guests. Manage cash handling responsibilities diligently, including balancing registers at shift end and reconciling sales. Support the team by working efficiently during busy periods in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment, demonstrating excellent time management skills. Requirements Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments is preferred; culinary experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math applications. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Kitchen experience or serving background in restaurants or cafes is advantageous.
