Responsibilities Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring quality and freshness. Set up breakfast buffet stations, including arranging food displays, replenishing supplies, and maintaining attractive presentation. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure all food handling areas meet health regulations. Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, coffee machines, warmers, and food prep tools safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of all dining areas, including clearing tables, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing utensils in accordance with hygiene standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, or assembling ingredients while practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable; handle weight-based food items with care during service. Support catering or banquet setups when required, ensuring all food service areas are organized and presentable for guests or events. Engage with guests warmly, providing friendly in-person customer service that enhances their breakfast experience. Adhere to dietary guidelines by accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions with professionalism and discretion. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred; experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is a plus. Familiarity with food preparation techniques, food safety management practices, and sanitizing procedures is highly desirable. Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently is essential; prior culinary or catering experience will be advantageous. Experience with POS systems for processing transactions accurately is beneficial. Strong customer service skills demonstrated through in-person interactions with guests are required. Ability to handle weight safely in the workplace during food handling or setup tasks is important. Previous banquet or catering experience can enhance your effectiveness in this role; dietary aide background is also valuable.
