Job Summary:
The Marketing Student Assistant for Dining Services supports dining membership tabling events and campus activities to promote, educate, and sell meal plans. Maintains a strong understanding of meal plan structures, their monetary value, and the overall benefits of dining on campus in order to effectively communicate with customers. Distributes marketing materials and promotional items while presenting information and answering questions about dining services. Collaborates as part of a sales team to host events during key periods such as orientation and move-in weekend, and support additional marketing initiatives throughout critical times in the summer semester.Required Minimum Qualifications:
Current University of Alabama undergraduate or graduate student. Must be able to commute to and from campus locations. Must be able to lift and move equipment safely and effectively. Must be able to use Microsoft Office products.Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.Enrollment Requirements:
Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment. groundInvestigation Statement:
