We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Food and Beverage Director to join the Operations leadership team at Arizona Christian University.
Position Summary:
Assists the Food and Beverage Director in the direct management of the daily operation and is responsible for the managing of all hourly employees. Effectively manages in a prompt, courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Participates in proper hiring, orientation, evaluating, mentoring, and disciplining leading to employee and operational success. Assists in the maintenance of effective internal controls within the department. Deliver the high quality food service through existing programs Recommends equipment to be used and selection of food products. Standardizes portions used and is responsible for the controlling of food, beverage, and labor costs. Consistently supervises, manages, and inspects hourly employees to ensure readiness and ability to perform to company standards. Prioritizes employee, customer, and operational needs to ensure issues are handled quickly, effectively, and efficiently. Opens and closes the location at a daily basis and preserves a safe, secure, and sanitary environment which fosters employee success. Promotes positive open communication in a team environment. Adheres to and displays company standards by personal example. Manages the personnel scheduling/ shift cut backs/holiday planning to facilitate standard coverage and efficiency. Manages the reconciliation of daily cash receipts and equivalents according to set policy standards. Manages all necessary administrative office work and record keeping in an organized manner. Inspects and administers employee uniform and personal hygiene standards. Consistently documents in daily log all operational concerns. Job Skills & Requirements Two year college degree and 2 years supervisory experience, or 1 year restaurant experience and 1 year supervisory experience. Age
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
Proven successful leadership and people skills (values diversity). History of obtaining budgeted results. Pleasant personality who enjoys a team environment and is cordial in all communication. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must maintain valid driver's license and have good driving record. Advanced computer skills including Internet, Excel, Google Suite, CBORD, Simphony or Micros POS Demonstrates ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English (Conversational kitchen Spanish a help). Must be able to pass test to become Serve Safe certified.
Pay Range:
$61,500
