Prescott, Arizona 86303- Participates in maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, cleaning the dining room tables, food carts and related equipment, and may include some restocking of infirmary ward refrigerators.
- Assists in the preparing and serving of attractive and nutritious temperature-maintained resident meals; follows daily menu plans, makes acceptable substitutions both in the dining room and on infirmary carts.
- Participates and assists in the preparation of basic quality food as directed by the Supervisor, adhering to standardized recipes, preparation methods, sanitation standards under the guidance of the Food Supervisor.
- Methods and practices of institutional food service;
- Rules and regulations of cleaning materials;
- Methods and techniques to comply with sanitation and safety codes and limitations in place by a special diet.
Skills in:
- Preparing basic food products with minimal waste;
- Operation of various food service equipment;
- Interpersonal communication on various levels to achieve positive outcomes.
Ability to:
- Maintain the highest level of cleaning competencies in relation to the kitchen, dishes, and food service area;
- Establish good working relationships;
- Present and serve food in an attractive and timely manner;
- Being a team player;
- Read, write, and speak English.
- Valid Arizona Food Handler's permit.
