Prescott, Arizona 86303
  • Participates in maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, cleaning the dining room tables, food carts and related equipment, and may include some restocking of infirmary ward refrigerators.
  • Assists in the preparing and serving of attractive and nutritious temperature-maintained resident meals; follows daily menu plans, makes acceptable substitutions both in the dining room and on infirmary carts.
  • Participates and assists in the preparation of basic quality food as directed by the Supervisor, adhering to standardized recipes, preparation methods, sanitation standards under the guidance of the Food Supervisor.
  • Methods and practices of institutional food service;
  • Rules and regulations of cleaning materials;
  • Methods and techniques to comply with sanitation and safety codes and limitations in place by a special diet.
Skills in:
  • Preparing basic food products with minimal waste;
  • Operation of various food service equipment;
  • Interpersonal communication on various levels to achieve positive outcomes.
Ability to:
  • Maintain the highest level of cleaning competencies in relation to the kitchen, dishes, and food service area;
  • Establish good working relationships;
  • Present and serve food in an attractive and timely manner;
  • Being a team player;
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Valid Arizona Food Handler's permit.
