Job Description

Redwood Terrace , a HumanGood life plan community in Escondido, CA, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director, Dining Services to help lead exceptional, hospitality-focused dining operations. Working alongside dining and culinary leadership, this role oversees front-of-house service, team development, resident satisfaction, compliance, special events, and operational goals across multiple venues. The Assistant Director may lead dining operations in the Director's absence.
  • Full-Time Exempt Position
  • Schedule Varies Including Weekends and Holidays
  • Salary Range is based on experience and begins at $78K annually
  • A day in life may include: Overseeing front-of-house dining, catering, and event operations.
Leading dining services in the Director's absence. Hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and developing team members. Addressing resident and guest concerns with exceptional service. Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance. Supporting inventory, purchasing, labor, and budget management. Partnering with culinary leadership to improve dining programs and resident satisfaction. To be successful in this role, you'll need: Two or more years of front-of-house leadership experience in hospitality, senior living, or healthcare dining. Knowledge of food service operations and dining styles. Food Protection Manager certification, such as ServSafe. Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and customer service skills. Dining team management experience preferred. CDM, DSS, or a related bachelor's degree preferred. What's in it for you?
