Hiring Food Services Workers On 1st Shift Poway, CA Job Description We are seeking a reliable food service worker/dishwasher to support daily food service operations within a hospital environment. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while ensuring patients, visitors, and staff receive quality meal service. Responsibilities Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Operate commercial dishwashing equipment following safety and sanitation standards. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, dish room, food preparation areas, and storage locations. Assist with meal tray assembly and food service distribution as needed. Stock supplies, dishes, utensils, and food service items throughout the department. Remove trash and recycling and maintain waste disposal areas. Follow food safety, infection prevention, and sanitation guidelines at all times. Assist cooks and food service staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with patients, visitors, and team members. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
