Job Description

Work Location Geyserville Position Purpose The Busser assists Servers in providing exceptional quality and excellent service to our guests. The Busser is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout dining areas, specifically guest tables. Functional Responsibility Essential Duties Maintains cleanliness and order throughout dining and work areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to proper areas Clears tables and resets them neatly and according to specification Ensures the Front-of-House is presentable to guests Maintains knowledge of food menu and provides recommendations in describing menu items to guests to drive sales Assists Server with providing wine presentations and recommendations Assists Server in following proper plate presentation and garnish set up details Promotes restaurants, wines, tasting room, wine club and upcoming events Works with kitchen staff to ensure food is expedited quickly and correctly Communicates with service staff and managers about guest needs Takes the lead in any guest issues that may arise during your shift and communicates to the manager/supervisor Looks for ways to improve service, streamline the efficiency and maximize revenue possibilities •Other duties may be assigned Non-Essential Duties •Other duties may be assigned Minimum Requirements Education and Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent Previous restaurant experience preferred Certificates and Licenses TIPS Certification or Certified within 90 days of employment CA Food Handlers certification required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to work weekends and holidays Excellent communication skills Ability to work in high paced work environment Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and prioritize Working Conditions Restaurant and pool environment Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations Work in close quarters or confined spaces Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment Extended Hours Shift Rotation Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine Work Standards Acts in a manner reflective of the Company culture of High Moral Standards, Innovation and Continuous Evolution, Trust in Team, Continuous Improvement, and Sustainable Relationships Communicates, interacts, and works effectively with others; receptive to feedback and coaching; voices concerns in a constructive manner Demonstrates commitment to safety first; communicates safety concerns; promotes a safe work environment based on established safety standards and training Follows all Company policies and procedures Additional Comments Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time. ​

This is a Non-Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $23.03. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
