Overview Of The Role:
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Food Service Aide to help our primary Food Service Support during morning preparation. This role requires consistent, punctual attendance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform the essential functions of the role and active kitchen duties to ensure operations run efficiently and cleanly, which includes the movement of amounts of heavy items. This role is scheduled to run from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM each day.
Essential Functions:
Help the Food Service Support with morning prep work, stocking supplies, and serving breakfast, if applicable. Receive and organize daily morning shipments or food deliveries, stock and organize food and beverage trays, frequently weighing up to 40-50 lbs. Help the Food Service Assistant with preparing and cooking food in retherm ovens. Sanitize surfaces, clean equipment, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Execute physical tasks as directed to maintain a safe, efficient workspace.
Who You Are:
You have experience working in a kitchen/food service or hospitality industry. You have solid experience and knowledge in sanitary practices in a kitchen or hospitality setting You are reliable and have excellent attendance. You are detail-oriented and calm under pressure. You are a proactive go-getter with a positive attitude, clear communication skills, and the ability to follow directions. You can operate independently and change course flexibly in a fast-paced environment. You build strong relationships and can be trusted by all partners. You have knowledge of basic hygiene and safe food handling practices (Food Handler Card required or willing to obtain upon hire).
What To Expect From Us:
School holidays and additional time off throughout the year.
Pay Range:
$18.70 - $25.00 / hour (based on experience). A fun, kind, hardworking team.
Note:
Part-time positions are not eligible for health benefits.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, sit, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, lift and carry objects (up to 50 lbs.), and perform repetitive physical tasks, as needed to perform all tasks and job-related responsibilities throughout a 4-hour shift. Ability to work in a kitchen environment around continuous motion, commercial appliances, and warm/cold temperature zones. Employment offers are contingent on a valid work authorization, on verification per SB 848 (if applicable), TB clearance completed within the last 60 days, and a cleared criminal background check.
