NEW GELATO SHOP OPENING IN OXBOW MARKET - ROMAN HOLIDAY GELATO!
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our cafe operations, providing exceptional customer service while assisting in gelato and baked goods production. The ideal candidate has a hospitality background in prior work experience and/or education and a fun,friendly, attitude.
Duties:
Managing inventory of gelatos in the case. Make sure we never run out of everyone's favorites! Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about menu items. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for cash handling and processing transactions accurately. Help with food preparation in the kitchen, ensuring all items are prepared according to health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including the kitchen and storage areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed . Qualifications Previous hospitality experience and /or education OR a strong interest in learning hospitality. Beginners welcome, all you need is a great attitude! Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Basic math skills and the ability to follow recipes. Ability to lift 50#. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others. Ability to arrive at work on time each day in proper attire and cleanliness.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
