SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and highly organized Assistant Food Service Director of Retail to help shape an exceptional dining experience at a prestigious multi-outlet private college in Redding, CA. In this exciting leadership role, you'll oversee the campus coffee shop, develop seasonal beverage and retail specials, drive creative marketing initiatives, and manage retail pricing strategies. We're seeking an energetic hospitality professional with a strong background in retail food service, preferably in a coffee shop, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, building meaningful campus relationships, and delivering service rooted in the philosophy of "Unreasonable Hospitality." Salary Range:
$70,000 - $74,000

What you'll do: Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and develop client relationships. Assist in general location management as part of the SAGE management team. Assist in ordering and inventory management, scheduling, catering and production, as needed. Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively. Implement and maintain HACCP standards. Participate in the interviewing, hiring, training, and ongoing mentoring of the team. Lead by example. What you'll need: Culinary degree preferred, but not required. Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Fluency in sanitation and safety standards. Dynamic get-it-done work ethic. Strong customer service skills. Ability to plan and organize with proficiency. Three years minimum of culinary production experience.
