Job Description

Busser Brickmans at The Links is the main restaurant of the property. You will be responsible for the delivery of all food from the kitchen to the guest tables. You must ensure that the food arrives accurately and in a timely manner to maintain quality. You will assist the servers in removing any dirty glassware, silverware, and plates from guest tables. You will help with cleaning and resetting the tables to conform with restaurant SOPs by resetting plates, glasses, and any utensils. You must be able to assist the servers in providing exceptional customer service and when possible, upsell our offerings during the guests' dining experience. The duties of a Busser include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Greet guests with a warm welcome and a fond farewell; engage them in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional guest hospitality and service to ensure guests enjoy their experience.
  • Responsible for delivering food to the guests on time and accurately.
  • Assist the expeditor in the final preparation of all dishes before leaving the kitchen.
  • Assist the expeditor to check dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature based on guest requests.
  • Transfer important information between the kitchen and FOH staff (e.g., special guest request, dish availability)
  • Expert knowledge of the menu, able to answer guest questions and provide recommendations.
  • When possible, address and resolve any guest complaints; notify management ASAP about any unresolved guest complaints that they need to handle.
  • Assist the servers with clearing and resetting tables while maintaining very high sanitation standards.
  • Fill water glasses, polish silver and glassware, and run food to tables.
  • Always maintain a composed and professional attitude.
  • Become familiar with all returning guests and know their special requests and needs.
