The role acts as the primary liaison between the U.S. office, Japan HQ, suppliers, customers, and logistics partners, while managing a team.

Core Responsibilities Product & Supplier Management:

Sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating terms with food manufacturers; pitching new products to Japan HQ based on market trends and profitability.

Operations & Supply Chain:

Managing shipment schedules, POs, budgets, forecasts, and resolving product claims/quality issues across partners. U.S.

Growth & HQ Liaison:

Supporting domestic sales, trade shows, and executive visits from Japan while bridging cross-border communications.

Team Leadership:

Supervising, training, and setting work priorities for team members.

Qualifications:

Education & Language:

Bachelor's degree; fluent English + Japanese.

Experience:

3+ years in merchandising, sourcing, sales, or food trading.

Skills:

Negotiation, analytics, project management, and MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint).

Flexibility:

Domestic/international travel; occasional off-hours work.

Preferred:

Food/beverage industry, import/export, and experience with Japanese companies.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
