Job Summary Job Summary District Objective:
Ventura Unified School District is establishing a pool of temporary workers who may be called upon to support essential school operations and student services during a potential strike or other labor-related work stoppage. Temporary Work Stoppage Support Staff may be assigned to custodial services, food services and child nutrition, paraprofessional or student support, campus supervision, or clerical and office support. Assignments will be made according to District needs, applicant qualifications, and availability. These temporary assignments are intended to help VUSD maintain safe campuses and continue essential services for students during a work stoppage. Individuals selected for this pool must be willing to report for temporary work during such a work stoppage and support the continuity of essential services for VUSD students and schools. Applicants who are unwilling to accept work during a strike or other labor-related work stoppage should not apply for this recruitment. 5 THE

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Duties will vary depending on the assignment and may include: Custodial Services Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and other District facilities. Set up and move furniture, equipment, and supplies. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation work. Identify and report safety or maintenance concerns. Food Services and Child Nutrition Assist with preparing, packaging, serving, and distributing student meals. Clean and sanitize food-service areas, equipment, and utensils.
