Manor Vail Lodge is a luxury mountain lodge in the heart of Vail, offering residential condominium accommodations and walkable access to Vail Village. Our property is one of Vail's premier destinations for weddings, corporate retreats, and group events, and our Food & Beverage team brings each one to life. Manor Vail Lodge is managed by Mountain Mastery Management Inc.
Overview :
The Banquet Captain leads banquet service from setup through breakdown, ensuring every event reflects Manor Vail Lodge's standard of excellence. This role is the primary on site contact for group leaders and event guests, and provides hands on leadership to the banquet service team throughout each function. Receives part of the service charges when working an event. We plan to fill the position by September 18, 2026, or sooner. Shifts will fluctuate based on group business needs but definitely cover afternoon/evening shifts, weekends and holidays. What You'll Do Lead pre shift lineups and communicate Banquet Event Order (BEO) details, timelines, and service expectations to the team Serve as the primary point of contact for group leaders and event guests throughout each function Inspect event spaces, staff readiness, and service standards before and during every event Coordinate timing and execution with the culinary team and other hotel departments Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and genuine care for the guest experience Support scheduling, training, and day to day leadership of banquet service staff Manage event related inventory, equipment, and administrative reporting What You Bring Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred Confident communication skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast paced environment Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and hospitality systems such as ADP, Delphi, Toast, or Hot SOS, or the ability to learn quickly Ability to be TIPS certified or the local equivalent; SERV Safe certification preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout events Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Join Our Team If you take pride in flawless events and genuine hospitality, we would love to hear from you.
