Ellington Public Schools is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Cafeteria/Playground Aide to join the team at Windermere Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. If you enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact on students' school day, we'd love to hear from you! This position plays an important role in helping to provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment during lunch and recess. Position Responsibilities The selected candidate will: Supervise students during lunch and recess. Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Communicate concerns to school staff and administrators when appropriate. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with children is preferred but not required. Successful completion of a state and national criminal history background check is required. A Department of Children and Families (DCF) records check will be completed in accordance with Connecticut state statute. Working Conditions 15 hours per week Monday-Friday School-year position (2026-2027)
Hourly Rate:
$17.43 This is an at-will position.
