Overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is to serve and clear food and beverage items from the guests following the procedures taught during training. Adept at all service functions while interacting with guest and maintaining a clean, safe and professional environment. Assist servers with items included but not limited to the following: resetting tables, water and bread service and cleaning and polishing of glassware and silverware.

Responsabilities:

Must have knowledge of all menu items

Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner

Provide bread and water service to our guests

Assist the server with pre bussing of plates

Clean and resetting of dirty tables according to standards

Cleaning and polishing of water glasses and silverware

Assisting servers in any capacity to ensure guest satisfaction

Ensure dining room is set up prior to opening of restaurant

Set tables with clean pressed linen, china, silverware, and glassware

Ensure dining room furniture and floors are kept clean and arranged

Qualifications:

Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge

Must have strong communication skills

Always maintains a clean and professional image

Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

Must be comfortable talking and interacting with guests

Must show a sense of urgency when it comes to the needs of the guests

Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized

Must be able to work under moderate supervision

Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area

Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have an unexpired tips certification

Always speaks to guests with enthusiasm

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

Experience in a hospitality industry in similar position

Must have knowledge of the floor plan and table numbers as outlined in training

ServSafe and eTips certification

Physical Requirements:

This position will spend 95% of the time standing and 5% of the time sitting

The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly

Ability to bend and reach above head holding up to 10 pounds frequently

Working Environment:

Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat and water

Must show ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Possesses stamina and energy to remain active and move quickly for up to 10-hour shifts

Ability to hear, understand and respond to guest and staff requests in a loud environment

Tools & Equipment:

Must demonstrate ability to carry trays

Operating of cappuccino and beverage machines
