Job Description
STS Technical Services is hiring an On-Call Customer Center Attendant in Melbourne, Florida, to support meal service, hospitality and customer events within a professional corporate environment.
This role is designed for an experienced hospitality professional who is organized, discreet, detail-oriented and comfortable providing polished service to customers and guests. The Customer Center Attendant supports buffet and plated dining service, maintains kitchen and meeting room supplies and helps ensure every customer interaction reflects a high standard of hospitality.
Position Overview
The On-Call Customer Center Attendant is responsible for meal service presentation and hospitality support for customer meetings and events.
This position requires strong people skills, attention to detail and the ability to anticipate customer and guest needs. The role also includes food service setup, dish handling, stock management, kitchen organization and maintaining professional service standards throughout each event.
Buffet Service Responsibilities Set up meeting rooms for buffet-style meal service
Arrange china, silverware, glasses, utensils and disposable items
Re-plate catered meals onto serving platters as needed
Serve breakfast, lunch and snacks in designated meeting rooms
Clear meal service and reset dining areas
Load dishwashers and hand wash delicate items
Polish dishes and ensure all service items are spotless
Return clean dishes and service items to proper storage
Follow applicable food safety standards Plated Dining Responsibilities Set up dining rooms for plated meal service
Serve meals
Take drink orders
Clear dining areas after service
Reset rooms following meal service
Load dishwashers
Hand wash delicate items
Polish and store dishes, glassware and service items
Follow applicable food safety standards Stock and Supply Responsibilities Restock supplies in meeting rooms
Maintain mini refrigerators
Restock coffee carts
Replenish buffet credenzas
Keep kitchens and stock areas clean and organized
Monitor supply expiration dates
Arrange snack baskets for customer meetings
Track dishes, glassware, flatware and related supplies
Report broken, missing or damaged items to leadership Organization and Cleanliness Responsibilities Maintain clean and organized kitchen areas
Perform deeper cleaning of ovens, coffee pots, microwaves and refrigerators as required
Descale coffee machines
Clean coffee makers and related equipment
Ensure dishes and service items are clean before customer use
Maintain organized storage areas
Support general cleanliness throughout meal service and hospitality areas Additional Responsibilities Remain on your feet for extended periods as required
Maintain professional personal presentation and hygiene
Wear the provided uniform as required
Support other assigned duties
Maintain professional behavior and discretion when interacting with customers and guests Qualifications High school diploma
Valid food handling certificate or similar credential
At least five years of demonstrated restaurant or hospitality experience
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to work calmly under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Ability to remain resourceful in a customer-focused environment
Ability to anticipate customer and guest needs
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
Availability to work traditional and nontraditional business hours Preferred Qualifications Restaurant or hospitality-related certification
Fine dining experience
International or intercultural experience
Bilingual language skills Work Environment and Requirements Ability to work safely and professionally while following applicable OSHA, EPA, state and federal requirements
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
Professional appearance and demeanor required
Formal and business casual attire may be required based on business needs
Uniform will be provided
