Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an energetic and service-driven Banquet Captain to lead the successful execution of weddings, private parties, corporate functions, and other upscale events. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Key responsibilities Pre-Event Set Up Review event BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) and floor plans to ensure a full understanding of each event's details. Coordinate setting up of banquet rooms, ensuring proper layout, décor, equipment, and cleanliness in line with high-end standards. Review BEO with Chef(s) to determine timeline of all food items and any updated information. Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff to review service assignments, timelines, and client expectations. Event Execution Supervise and support banquet servers and bartenders throughout the event. Ensure timely service of food and beverages, including plated meals, buffets, cocktail hours, and dessert service. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal departments during events. Resolve guest concerns or service issues promptly and professionally. Ensure all areas are set with appropriate lighting, music and climate levels. Leadership & Staff Coordination Lead by example to maintain a polished, professional appearance and a commitment to outstanding hospitality. Provide hands-on training and feedback to banquet staff to reinforce service standards. Monitor team performance and make real-time adjustments to staffing or procedures as needed. Attend BEO meetings. Post-Event Responsibilities Oversee breakdown and cleanup, ensuring all equipment and areas are properly stored and sanitized Complete event reports, inventory counts, and shift summaries. Collaborate with event managers to debrief and improve future service execution. Coordinating with Banquet Manager to ring in all Banquet Events including any items to be charged day of on the day of event and finalize end of day paperwork to be submitted to Accounting Look ahead of current week to ensure proper staffing, supply needs and/or time changes. Ensure Club is left in show ready condition, to include outside areas.
