This is a dynamic, multi-functional position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant environment. Rather than being assigned to one specific station, this team member will float between several essential service roles, including food expediting, food running, bussing, dining room support, and occasional hosting. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about hospitality. You must be comfortable transitioning between responsibilities throughout a shift based on the restaurant's operational needs. Key Responsibilities Food Expediting (Expo) Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house team. Verify plate presentation, accuracy, modifications, and completeness before food leaves the kitchen. Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and food runners. Help maintain proper timing and flow of food service. Food Running Deliver food promptly and professionally to the correct guests. Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and presentation standards. Assist with table maintenance and anticipate guest needs. Communicate special requests or concerns to the appropriate team members. Bussing & Dining Room Support Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room. Refill water, replace utensils, and assist servers with guest requests. Keep service stations stocked and organized. Support smooth table turnover without compromising the guest experience. Host Support Greet and welcome guests professionally when needed. Assist with seating, reservations, and guest flow. Communicate table availability and readiness to the host and management team. Help maintain an organized and welcoming entrance. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience required; upscale or fine dining experience is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to service standards. Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays throughout extended shifts. Willingness to learn multiple positions and adapt quickly.
