Assistant Food and Beverage Manger 7390 NW Beaver Drive, Johnston, IA 50131 Full-time Full-time Job Summary Work directly with the Food and Beverage Director and Event Director to manage all front-of-house staff by recruiting, selecting, hiring, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, evaluating, supervising performance and carrying out disciplinary action as needed. Hold pre-shift meetings to ensure that specials and requests from the kitchen are understood. Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and proper set-up of the dining room. Assist Event Director in executing various events throughout the club. Maximize food and beverage sales by identifying and targeting sales opportunities through marketing including promotions and special events. Maintain high member relations and deal with customer service issues as they arise. Protect the organization, the members, and the guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills 1+ years of supervisory experience in private clubs/hotels/restaurants. Hospitality degree preferred but not required. Be able to lift and maneuver food service trays weighing up to 30 pounds. Strong people management skills, communication and listening skills. Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
