Seasonal Snack Shop Employee

Non-Exempt / Seasonal Job Summary Provide friendly and efficient food and beverage service to club members and guests at the pool snack shop and surrounding pool areas. Employees are responsible for preparing and serving food items, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the snack shop, and delivering excellent member service throughout the season. Job Tasks / Duties Opens and prepares snack shop for daily operations. Greets members and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Takes food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Prepares and serves snack shop menu items according to club standards. Takes food orders and delivers food and beverages to members and guests at the pool area. Maintains cleanliness and organization of snack shop, kitchen, serving areas, and pool dining spaces. Stocks food, beverages, paper products, condiments, and supplies as needed. Handles member charges and cash transactions accurately following club procedures. Ensures correct member account names and numbers are used for billing. Monitors food quality and presentation standards. Assists with cleaning tables, removing trash, and maintaining a clean pool environment. Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Communicates member concerns or complaints promptly to supervisors. Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned. Attends staff meetings and training sessions as requested. Thanks members and guests and promotes a welcoming club atmosphere. Assists with special pool events and activities as needed. Performs other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications / Requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry trays, food items, and supplies. Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Weekend and holiday availability is required throughout the pool season. Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work flexible seasonal hours (up to 40 per week), including daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. Food safety certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Seasonal Employment Dates Employment is seasonal and typically runs from late May through early September, depending on pool operations and scheduling needs.
