Full Job Description PURPOSE:
The Helper is responsible for assisting in the pick-up, receiving, organizing, delivering and distribution of all food and other supplies. He/she maintains proper documentation and keeps the delivery vehicle clean and sanitary and food pantry area organized.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned Pick-up and delivery of food and supplies. Loading and unloading food and supply trucks. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of delivery vehicles as need, and complete inspections. Assist with all aspects of the Food Pantry, including monitoring inventory, ordering, stocking, servicingclients, maintaining client service log, data entry, and coordinating volunteers as needed. Pack food pantry orders and stock shelves as needed. Responsible for the maintenance of the food pantry as needed. All employees at CAPOLC are expected to be team players; in case you should have some down time,please assist other staff if needed. Remember your work assignment is priority
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Driver's License Required Must submit DMV Driver's Abstract (required) by start date Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of community resources Ability to be self-directed Maintain a current driver's license and means of reliable transportation. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate families and/or program requirements. This may include hours after regular worked hours. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are a representation of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet use.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, sit, reach,push, pull, grasp, talk and hear frequently and in repetition. Must be able to lift and/or move aminimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to work outside in the elements. The physical demands describedhere are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
