Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Banquet Event Assistant Manager to lead and coordinate exceptional event experiences within our hospitality venue. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee banquet operations, ensure flawless execution of events, and deliver outstanding guest service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and a knack for upselling and marketing events to maximize revenue. As a key team member, you will collaborate with clients, manage event logistics, and uphold the highest standards of service excellence to create memorable occasions that exceed expectations. Duties Assist in planning and executing a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings, ensuring all details align with client specifications. Coordinate with catering, kitchen staff, and service teams to deliver seamless event operations from setup through teardown. Engage with clients proactively to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and promote additional services or upgrades through upselling strategies. Manage event timelines, budgets, and contracts to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards. Oversee venue setup, décor arrangements, equipment needs, and staffing schedules to guarantee smooth execution. Implement effective marketing initiatives for upcoming events by leveraging event marketing techniques to attract new clients and retain existing ones. Provide exceptional guest services by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring all attendees have a positive experience. Maintain detailed records of event details, contracts, budgets, and post-event evaluations for continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience in banquet management or hospitality roles such as restaurant management or hotel event planning. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining positive client relationships. Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate multiple events simultaneously. Knowledge of event planning processes including budgeting, contracts, catering coordination, and décor setup. Familiarity with event marketing strategies to promote upcoming functions effectively. Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively. Previous banquet experience combined with a background in customer service or guest relations is highly desirable. Proficiency in budgeting software, contract management tools, and hospitality industry systems is preferred.
