Food & Nutrition Services Site Manager SUMMARY:
Performs routine food service activities related to the setting up of serving areas and the serving of food to students and staff; performs cashiering duties in the sale of food items to students and staff; maintains cleanliness of the food service facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Able to lift 50 pounds A high school diploma or equivalent desired Able to work quickly in a busy cafeteria Experience in cashiering or a willingness to learn Willingness to learn, try new ideas, and grow professionally Previous commercial food service experience desired
RESPONSIBILITIES
Practices procedures in food preparation, uses and maintains equipment and personal habits to assure that sanitation to assure that sanitation standards comply with federal, state and local regulations. Follows manager's instructions in producing, portioning, garnishing and serving of meals. Operates a cash register as needed. Assists with either the clean-up, operating the dishmachine, and washing pots and pans. Demonstrates the ability to work with the school community. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Site Manager and/or other designee.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation. Job Requirements High School/Trade School degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required
