Job Summary Richmond Community School District , serving more than 4,700 students across 11 schools and 3 Head Start locations , is seeking an energetic, hands-on Assistant Director of Dining Services who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being actively involved in daily operations. Working closely with the Director of Dining Services and Office Manager, this leader will help oversee district-wide food service operations, assist with menu planning through MenuWorks, support catering services, and help implement and promote Chartwells programs. The role also provides leadership and support to a team of up to 63 frontline associates , helping ensure an exceptional dining experience for students while maintaining operational excellence across all locations. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded food service professional who understands how a kitchen operates, leads by example, and enjoys building strong relationships with staff, students, and district partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works with the Director and Frontline team in creating nutritious and top quality food. Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams. Maintains excellent relationships with the client. Manages, trains, and develops associates. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1+ years of food service supervisory or lead experience. Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations. Strong leadership and communication skills. Financial experience and business acumen skills. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet. Associate's degree is preferred. Apply to Chartwells Schools today!
