Are you looking for a job where you can help make delicious meals for hungry college students? Apply now to join our dining services team at Central Christian College of Kansas in McPherson! We are looking for reliable workers with some weekend availability for the 2026-2027 school year. The Food Service Worker works in the dining center during the meal service periods, helping to complete the meal service, clean up and prepare the cafeteria area for the next day. This role will work within the dining services department, mainly FOH (front of house) to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, work cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, and provide excellent customer service and guest interactions while helping to maintain a safe, clean and attractive facility at all times.

Typical shift schedule: 10:30am
  • 2:30pm (break) then 3:30pm
  • 7:30pm. We serve meals in a cafeteria setting 7 days a week
  • weekend availability is a plus! Part-time = up to 29 hours/week
  • Full time = 30 or more hours/weekThe Ideal Candidate will have:
Knowledge of proper food safety, food handling, storage and service techniquesExcellent customer service skillsFamiliarity with batch cooking techniques, time management to avoid over/under productionPrior foodservice experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent
