2987671293-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Fortrex Solutions seeks a Food Safety Worker in Liberal, KS to support clients in managing food safety risk and regulatory compliance. In this field-based role, you will inspect food handling, storage, and preparation areas; document findings; and help implement sanitation and HACCP-based controls. You'll collect samples, maintain detailed reports, and identify contamination risks while collaborating with risk and compliance teams. The position involves educating client staff on best practices and supporting investigations of incidents. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of food handling, storage, and preparation areas to ensure compliance with safety standards Collect, label, and document samples for testing and maintain accurate inspection records and reports Support implementation of food safety protocols, including HACCP and sanitation procedures Identify potential contamination risks and recommend corrective actions to clients and internal teams Collaborate with risk and compliance specialists to align food safety practices with regulatory requirements Educate client staff on food safety best practices, hygiene, and handling procedures Assist with incident investigations related to foodborne illness or safety violations Use checklists, digital tools, and reporting systems to track findings and follow-up actions Communicate inspection results and recommendations clearly to client stakeholders Participate in ongoing training to stay current with food safety regulations and standards Required Skills Food safety inspection Knowledge of HACCP principles Regulatory compliance (FDA/USDA/local health codes) Sanitation and hygiene standards Report writing and documentation Risk assessment Incident investigation Use of inspection/checklist tools Client communication Basic data entry and record management
