Responsibilities Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols Support food handling, portioning, and presentation to ensure high-quality service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food service equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Assist with cooking and serving students Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy items or supplies to prevent injuries Adhere strictly to workplace safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and manual handling procedures Qualifications Previous experience in Food Service is highly preferred Knowledge of food production, preparation, and serving techniques Familiarity with dietary department procedures Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow sanitation standards diligently Basic math skills for portioning and inventory management Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward working with children Food handling certification is advantageous Knowledge of food safety regulations Ability to lift heavy objects safely while maintaining proper posture during meal prep or supply handling Embark on a fulfilling career where your efforts directly impact the well-being of our students.
