Position Summary The Dietary Aide supports the daily operations of the Dietary Department by preparing and delivering patient meals, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and assisting with food service activities. This role plays an important part in ensuring patients receive quality meal service while supporting a safe and efficient food service environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital, healthcare, food service, or related environment preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and department standards. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred. -Emotional maturity and the ability to function effectively -in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Stock, portion, assemble, and deliver patient meal trays in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with meal preparation and food service activities as assigned. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, utensils, and food preparation surfaces according to established standards. Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines. Perform cashier duties during meal service periods as needed. Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels. Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
