Do you have experience working in a restaurant, café, or kitchen and love teaching others what you know? If you're looking for a change from traditional food service and want a role where your skills can make a meaningful impact, this could be a great next step. The Edinburg Center is looking for a Café & Culinary Skills Coordinator to help lead Café Aroma, combining hands-on food service experience with coaching, mentorship, and community-based mental health services. What You'll Do
  • Lead daily kitchen and café operations while creating a welcoming and supportive environment
  • Teach cooking, baking, cleaning, food preparation, and café skills to individuals participating in the program
  • Train and support counselors, relief staff, and interns in cooking and café operations
  • Develop weekly menus and introduce seasonal menu options
  • Manage food and supply inventory, shopping needs, and the kitchen budget
  • Help create a culinary training and certificate program for individuals served
  • Lead social and interactive groups within the café
  • Maintain food safety, Board of Health, and program standards
  • Help grow Café Aroma and expand its lunch offerings Who You Are You may be a restaurant or food service professional who is ready to use your experience in a different way. We're looking for someone who:
  • Has experience in food service, restaurant operations, or kitchen-style cooking
  • Enjoys teaching, coaching, and working with others
  • Has experience working with individuals with mental health or developmental disability needs
  • Can manage menus, inventory, food costs, and a kitchen budget
  • Is ServSafe Manager certified or able to obtain certification within the first three months
