Full Job Description Position:
Busser Reports to: General Manager The Restaurant Busser is responsible for providing support to the waitstaff and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment. This role includes clearing tables, resetting tables, and assisting with general restaurant cleanliness to enhance the dining experience for guests.
Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions Table Clearing and Resetting:
Clear tables of dirty dishes, glasses, silverware, and linens once guests have finished their meals. Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware for the next guests. Ensure tables are properly arranged and set according to the restaurant's standards.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and service stations. Empty and clean trash containers regularly. Clean and restock restrooms as needed to ensure a pleasant experience for guests.
Support Duties:
Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for special events. Restock service stations with essential supplies, including napkins, condiments, and utensils. Perform side work duties as assigned by the manager, such as polishing glassware and silverware.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with team members to provide seamless service. Assist with other tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the restaurant. Minimum Requirements Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests - smile and have a great time! Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina to lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
