Warren, West Warren and West Brookfield, MA Position:
General Cafeteria Worker (Part time)
Location:
Quaboag Regional Middle High School(2) Warren Community Elementary School (2) Reports to:
Director of Food Services Job Goal:
To provide meals to each student with the highest nutritional quality in a clean, safe and kind environment with friendly customer service.
Qualifications:
Previous food service experience preferred. Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions
Responsibilities:
§ Assists in general operation of the program (serving students and staff, restocking serving lines, washing pots, operating dish machine, cash register/POS computer, laundry etc.) § Assists in the cleaning of kitchen § Performs daily/weekly tasks assigned by the Head Cook such as food preparation or putting away stock.
Physical Requirements:
The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs and a step stool whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling objects. The position requires lifting of 40 pounds on a frequent basis and over 40 pounds occasionally. The candidate is expected to wear vinyl gloves and proper hair restraints when serving and working with food. The candidate is expected to follow the uniform policy set by the Director of Food Services. Must maintain excellent personal hygiene. Must be able to stand for 3 or more hours.
