Job Description:
The Dining Services Worker supports the College's Globe Café, Joppa Hall Café, TUNE Café, APGFCU Arena concessions, and College catering as needed. Tasks include preparing food upon request, acting as cashier when required, and performing other related duties. As a condition of employment, this position requires participation in a Maryland State Retirement System plan. Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Required Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Required Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of food service experience (e.g., restaurant, cafeteria, catering, fast-casual, or institutional dining)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Customer Services Skills Ability to operate point of sale system, handle cash and credit card transactions. Ability to prepare and prep food for Café / Concessions
