Job Description

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Frederick, a Cohenterprises owned and operated hotel , has an opening for a Breakfast Attendant. The ideal candidate for this position is courteous, outgoing, and is passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience. This position is responsible for the daily functions of the breakfast area and ensures that the food and beverage service for the hospitality area is maintained and served to Marriott and Cohenterprises' standards Essential Job Functions
  • Meet and greet guests as they arrive in the breakfast dining area of the hotel.
  • Assist guests with their food and beverage needs while in the dining area.
  • Maintain proper set-up of the dining area.
  • Preparation of food according to Marriott brand standards, and ensuring proper temperatures of hot and cold items according to health code regulations.
  • Replenish food and service supplies and utensils in the dining area.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment in the kitchen and dining area.
  • Clean out all refrigerators and reach-ins daily; label, date and rotate all food items.
  • Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and vacuum dining area.
  • Ensure all food orders are put up and stored in proper places with proper dating.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. The ability to communicate well with guests. Must be willing to pitch in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests.
