Job Description We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Banquet Setup team member to join our team at Harraseeket Inn & event House. This is a part time position located in Freeport, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service. Job Description We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Banquet Setup team member to join our team at Harraseeket Inn & event House. This is a part time position located in Freeport, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service. Work Performed The Banquet Setup Team Member is responsible for preparing event spaces to company standards for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by executing precise room sets, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and responding quickly to last-minute changes in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel and event house environment. Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event orders, diagrams, and company specifications. Arrange tables, chairs, risers, staging, linens, décor, and audiovisual equipment as required for each event. Ensure all event spaces are clean, safe, and guest-ready prior to function start times. Work collaboratively with Banquet, Culinary, and Sales/Event Management teams to ensure accurate and timely room sets. Respond promptly to manager and client requests during event operations, including quick turns and layout changes. Handle all equipment, storage rooms, and inventory safely and efficiently. Maintain facility standards by reporting repair needs, safety concerns, or equipment shortages. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines in a corporate hospitality environment. Support overall hotel and event house operations with professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional attention to detail. Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order Perform any other job-related duties as assigned Requirements Previous hotel, banquet, or event-setup experience preferred but not required Ability to read and follow event diagrams, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), and manager instructions Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours Excellent organizational skills and show initiative with ability to work well in a team environment Possess good communication skills Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays Have proficiency in the English language Must be able to work onsite at the location Hours required: Part time; 20-30 Hours per week for all Morning (AM); Afternoon (PM); Evening shifts; Must be flexible; Weekends/ Holidays Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French Compensation $20 Hourly + Gratuity Benefits Optional 401k with employer match Employee discounts at participating hotels Option to sign up for on-demand pay with DailyPay Refer a friend
