Food Service Assistant

Hollis Elementary School

Position:

4 hours per day (10:15am-2:15pm) Duties include, but are not limited to: Preparing and serving food (may include cooking and baking).

Assisting with cleaning the kitchen, serving, and eating areas.

Maintaining all applicable health and sanitation standards.

Operating a Computerized Accountability System.

Attending staff training as needed.

Qualifications:

1.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) is required if offered the position.

3.

Experience:

Prior successful school Food Service experience is a plus.

4.

Physical Requirements:

Evidence of ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, stand for periods of time as long as 6+ hours on a cement/tile kitchen floor, work in a potentially hot and humid environment. 5. Good math skills are a must.

6. Knowledge of weight scales and sanitation is a plus. 7. Ability to read and follow a recipe.

8. Must be willing to learn and run a Computerized Accountability System.

9. Excellent team worker.

Wage Scale:
