Student employee position to assist with daily operations of Laker Café. Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives. Adheres to the organization's policies & procedures, and compliance guidelines. Open/close cafe. Operate cash register. Count cash drawer at end of day. Prepare daily cash reconciliation. Provide customer assistance. Stock and restock inventory. Receive incoming merchandise. Maintain cleanliness of cafe. Answer telephone. Adhere to State of MI food licensing requirements (Laker Café). Prepare coffee/food (Laker Café). Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and servcie initiatives. Adheres to the organization's policies and compliance guidelines. Per the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), a federal consumer protection law, your job position entails functions that meet the definition of a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs have a duty to report any crime to the College's Clery Compliance Officer. This information may be disclosed to them directly, through third-party, or witnessed. As a CSA, you are required to complete annual training which is provided by the College. This training encompasses your role, responsibilities, and reporting obligations . Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Certification, Licensure:
High School Diploma Current Mid student
Experience:
Previous experience with operation of cash registers helpful Previous food service experience helpful
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written format, with various constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and community members.
