Position:
Dining Assistant Schedule:
Flexible schedule with the following available shift blocks: Block 1 (Morning Shift - 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM) Week 1: Thursday Week 2: Wednesday Thursday Block 2 (Evening Shift - 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM) Week 1: Wednesday Thursday Week 2: Friday, Saturday Sunday Shift assignments are subject to final scheduling. Open availability is preferred. The Dining Assistant plays an important role in providing an enjoyable dining experience for our residents by assisting with meal service, maintaining a clean and organized dining environment, and supporting the kitchen team in daily operations. Essential Responsibilities Assist with serving meals to residents in the dining room and resident apartments as needed. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation, serving, and dining areas. Set up and clear dining tables before and after meals. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following sanitation standards. Stock pantry, refrigerator, and freezer with delivered food and supplies. Assist with basic food preparation as assigned by the Cook or Dining Services Manager. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures. Provide friendly and courteous service while interacting with residents, families, and team members. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Open availability and flexibility with scheduling. Previous experience working in a kitchen, Assisted Living, or Memory Care setting. Experience serving meals to seniors or in a customer service role. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus. Ideal Candidate Passionate about providing excellent service to older adults. Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties of the position.
