Roseville Area Schools has an opportunity as a Nutrition Services Assistant, a7 hours/day, 5 days a week, 9 months position following the school year calendar (no nights, weekends or holidays). Work hours are generally between 6:30 am-1:30pm. The site manager sets final shift schedules. Roseville Area Schools is dedicated to helping our students learn to love healthy food.
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this role completes a variety of tasks in the school kitchen; prepares and serves food, cleans work areas and equipment, operates a point of sales teminal/register, and counts with accuracy. The Nutrition Services Assistant connects with students and makes a difference in the lives of our community's children on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
Food handling experience is preferred. MSNA Certification preferred but not required. ServSafe Certification preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a commercial kitchen; moderate physical requirements, with risk of burns and cuts. Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving up to 30 pound containers of raw and prepared food, materials and equipment. May require working in a walk in freezer for periods of up to 30 minutes. The district safety training and equipment to all employees.
Compensation:
Wages start at $18.07. One complimentary meal per shift and uniform allowance provided.
