DESCRIPTION
• Weekend shifts are required • The Shoreview Community Center is a fast-paced environment with over 500,000 visitors to our facility each year. The Wave Café serves a variety of beverages, snacks and refreshments. Shoreview employs 8-10 people to staff the Wave Café. Attendants need to be cheerful and friendly in this very visible position. The orientation program trains new employees on how to prepare the food, operate the cash register and perform other expected duties. Shirts are provided to employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a busy café environment and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying food, supplies, trays, and other items weighing up to approximately 30 pounds. The position requires frequent use of hands and arms to prepare and serve food, operate a cash register, clean tables and work areas, and stock supplies. Employees may be exposed to hot food and beverages, cooking equipment, wet or slippery surfaces, cleaning products, and varying levels of noise. Employees must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing courteous customer service and following food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
