Job Description

The Station at Sawyer's Landing The Station is looking for a dependable, organized leader to oversee our food operations and help grow our catering services. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, creating efficient systems, and maintaining consistent food quality. This person will serve as an Assistant Manager at The Station while taking primary ownership of catering and food execution. They will work closely with our Station Manager, lead cook, and catering team to make sure our kitchen and events run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a shift leader and support daily operations at The Station Oversee catering preparation, execution, and event-day coordination Help plan catering menus, quantities, timelines, and staffing needs Maintain consistent recipes, portions, presentation, and food quality Create clear prep lists and ensure food is ready on time Help train and provide direction to kitchen and catering employees Monitor food inventory and communicate ordering needs Reduce waste and help manage food and labor costs Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards Communicate clearly with management and the catering sales team Step in wherever needed during busy shifts and events
The Right Person Will Be:
A strong, calm leader who is comfortable giving direction Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines Dependable and willing to take ownership Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-kitchen environment Focused on consistency, quality, and guest experience Able to balance planning and administrative responsibilities with hands-on work Available for some evenings, weekends, and special events Previous restaurant, catering, kitchen leadership, or hospitality management experience is preferred. Food safety certification is a plus. This is not a traditional desk-management position. The right person will be actively involved in food preparation, catering execution, shift leadership, and supporting the team.

From $19.00 per hour
