Job Summary The Breakfast Attendant plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests during the morning hours. This position involves preparing and serving breakfast items, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for hospitality, contributing to a welcoming environment for all guests. Responsibilities Prepare and present breakfast items according to established recipes and standards. Set up and replenish the breakfast buffet, ensuring all food items are fresh and appealing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations. Assist guests with their needs, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items. Clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed. Monitor inventory levels of breakfast supplies and report shortages to management. Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the breakfast service area. Qualifications Previous kitchen experience or food service background is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is a plus. Experience with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is advantageous. Strong communication skills and ability to engage with guests effectively. Familiarity with food safety practices and handling procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in hospitality roles such as host/host or guest services is beneficial. Skills in meal preparation, cleaning, bussing tables, and cash handling are valuable assets. A passion for providing excellent customer service in a dining setting.
