06/29/2026 Position Type Part-Time (3 hours) Hours 10:30 am - 1:30 pm Salary $16.41 Reports To Building Administrator About Us The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) is dedicated to creating a safe and positive environment for students. We seek professionals to help maintain this atmosphere in our school cafeterias. Job Summary The Café Aide supports the cafeteria's operations by monitoring student behavior, assisting students, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities Assist Students:
Help students with tasks like opening packages and locating food lines.
Emergency Support:
Assist in evacuations and ensure student safety during emergencies.
Maintain Order:
Keep the cafeteria clean and orderly, and remind students of proper behavior.
Supervise:
Monitor students to ensure a safe and positive environment.
Promote Social Skills:
Encourage good social behavior among students. Respond to
Inquiries:
Provide information and direction as needed.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
Some job-related experience is desired.
Skills:
Adherence to safety practices Basic communication and record-keeping Operation of standard equipment
Knowledge:
Basic math Child development stages Relevant policies and regulations
Abilities:
