Assistant Branch Manager

We are hiring an Assistant Branch Manager to own the event calendar, the barista crew, and the equipment
• so every event goes off without the owner in the middle of it.

Pay:

$45,000

• $49,000 salary depending on experience, plus an even share of the service gratuity on every event you work ($100 per event split among the crew, so $50
• $100 a shift) and a monthly performance bonus up to $325.

Realistic total earnings:

$56,000

• $68,000. You start at $45,000 and move to $49,000 at 90 days once the schedule runs without the owner, events start on time, and inventory holds
• written into your offer.

Salaried and non-exempt:

overtime is paid over 40 hours a week.

REQUIREMENTS

• 21 or older (this role serves alcohol at events)
• 2+ years in food service, catering, or hospitality
• You have supervised or scheduled a team before, even a small one
• Comfortable running an event solo and leading a crew
• some events are just you, some are a full team
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and a shared calendar
• Able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and stand through a 6-hour event Nice to have: espresso or bar experience, catering or event background, food handler's card.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Turn a signed event contract into a drink menu, prep plan, and staffing plan, then lead the event on site
• Build the weekly barista schedule and handle call-offs yourself, including at 6am on a Saturday
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train new baristas
• Serve coffee and bar at events and keep service compliant and safe
• Order milk, syrups, cups, and supplies within approved purchasing limits
• enough to never run out, not so much that it spoils
• Keep the cart, machines, and warehouse clean, packed, and event-ready; catch problems before an event does
• Reply to client emails the same business day in a way that makes clients want to book again
• Fix the parts of our process that are slower than they should be A typical week: a Saturday in June you are loading the cart at 6am, running a wedding espresso and cocktail bar for 150 guests by 2pm, and texting the barista covering Sunday's corporate gig.

A Tuesday you are building next week's schedule, ordering supplies, and sending a client their event details before they ask.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION 35

• 45 hours a week. Event volume swings
• some weeks one event, some weeks twelve.

The schedule is yours:

as long as every event is staffed and the work gets done, you decide which events you are at. No formal paid time off; that control is what you get instead. Based out of our Wentzville warehouse with events across the St. Louis metro. Company vehicle provided; your paid day starts when you arrive at the first location. You will use your own phone for client and staff communication (no stipend). No health insurance at this time.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE 30

days: you know our equipment, menus, and regular clients, and you are building the schedule with the owner. 60 days: you are building it without them and running events start to finish. 90 days: staffing problems get solved before the owner hears about them, and your salary steps up. This is a step-up role that can grow into a Branch Manager position with more pay
