Duties Help Set up food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold food. Prepare service stands by setting up condiments, silverware, and glassware. Prepare coffee, tea and other beverages according to instructions. Portion salads and desserts for regular and modified diets. Wash dishes, pots and pans, either manually or by use of mechanical equipment. Maintain garbage collection areas including garbage and trash containers. : Work is performed predominantly in noisy kitchen and dining room areas. Incumbent is subject to injuries from equipment used and is exposed to dirt, cleaning chemicals, grease and wer in cleaning tasks. Incumbent is subject to extremes in temperures when bringing supplies from walk-in refrigerors. Wears safety shoes and other protective items as required.
